PLUS A FREE PRINTABLE FOR YOUR BOO BAG
Have you ever been “BOOED”? If not your in for a fun treat! During this spooky season you can trick your friends by leaving them a sneaky treat on their porch full of goodies.
In this post I’m going to share how to make a Boo Bag, and how I made mine, plus the most important part – a free printable for you to attach to your Boo Basket. Sound fun?! That’s what I thought. Let’s get started!
A FUN HALLOWEEN TRADITION
If you’ve never heard of this, let me break it down for you.
One family starts the BOOING.. now you can be as basic or creative as you want with want you want to include in your basket. I keep mine VERY SIMPLE- candy, glow sticks, pencils, erasers (think birthday goodie bags). It’s for the kids and they honestly don’t need much. So we make our bags, I let my kids pick 5 friends each and the last week leading up to Halloween it’s one of our favorite traditions.
We drive around with Halloween music and basically play ding, dong, ditch while leaving the bag by their front door and watch from afar. The excitement and giggles that come from my kids fills my heart with so much joy.
In order to keep the chain going, the families who received will then create their boo bags and deliver them to the next families. Like a chain letter.. It just keeps going!
WHAT TO PUT IN YOUR BOO BAG
Is this the reason why you’re really here?? Now let me tell you something – if you know me you know I am the queen of easy and simple. I throw some candy in their and a glow stick with a lanyard that they can use while trick or treating. You can get as crafty and creative as you want but for me and my family it’s really about the memories we are creating.
Now I will say this – a few of my verrrrrry favorite girlfriends will be receiving the adult version of the Boo Bag – A BOTTLE OF WINE! Now tell me what mama wouldn’t be happy with that?!
Alrighty ladies, I hope you have the best time BOOING your friends this year, may it be the start of a new tradition! make sure to follow me on Instagram & TikTok to watch the fun unfold!
