Hey beauties,
Let’s talk skin! I wanted to chat a little about a topic that many don’t say much about and it’s changing your skincare seasonally. Just like our wardrobe changes seasonally, we should be making changes to our skincare as well. Especially if you are living in a place where the climate is forever changing, aka New Jersey. One day it’s 75 degrees and then nest day it’s below 32… unfortunately our skin is unable to adapt to these changes with out needing a little bit of extra TLC.
Incorporate a hydrating serum…
I tend to use hydrating serums year ’round because my skin is very dehydrated and flaky even during the warmer months. Piel by Azul’s Hydra Fluid serum (you can receive 10% off your first order) has been my favorite for a few months now because it leaves my skin hydrated with out it feeling oily and greasy. To be honest, I notice an immediate difference if I get lazy with my routine and don’t do it for a few days. Making sure that the serum you are using contains Hyaluronic Acid. It’s great ingredient to add to your skin – so definitely make sure it’s being incorporated whether it is a stand alone product or mixed in.
Make sure to continue to exfoliate…
I may seem a little counter intuitive to talk exfoliators when we are trying to retain hydrating and moisture but it is crucial to remove any dead skin cells and build up that may accrue. When using your exfoliator – make sure to be extra gentle and only exfoliate 1-2 times a week.
Make sure to use a thicker moisturizer…
If you usually gravitate towards a gel moisturizer, it may not hurt to switch to a thicker, heavier moisturizer for your routine, especially at night. When you pour time into your nighttime regime you wake up feeling and looking amazing and energized.
